I love creating experiences and exploring new frontiers. With a thorough understanding of math, sound and game design I can help bring the screen to life. For my best example, be sure to check out my VR project that was nominated for multiple awards!
VR puzzle game made in Unreal Engine 5. I used the Meta Sounds plugin to efficiently add sound effects and ambience to create a playful VR experience.
A mysterious 3d platformer made with unreal engine 4. I used space sounds and drones, wrote music and implemented effects to create an intriguing experience.
A frogger-style game using the PICO-8 engine. I implemented and designed 8-bit sound effects and music using Lua to create a lighthearted experience.
An arcade game using Unreal 5 engine. I implemented and designed all audio, including music, to create a cute game experience with comedically gruesome violence.
A voice synth project using UE5 and Meta Sound. I created a synth for real-time generated sounds, to replicate Celeste’s voices made by PowerUp Audio.
I am a game audio designer from the Netherlands who loves learning and going on adventures.
My love for adventure got me into photography for Indigo, writing music for a night at the museum event in Belgium, and playing the role of a suspect in a real-life who-done-it game for kids with low socio-economic status backgrounds. This all stems from a nurtured sense of curiosity and freedom to explore.
Because of my curiosity, I was the kid in the classroom that got excited when the math teacher would hand us Einstein’s five house riddle. I like puzzles, riddles and conundrums. Not because I know the answer to many of them, but because I love the process of exploring and understanding the problem. And like every problem solver I live for that UKERA moment at the end!
I am also a highly sensitive person. Although this comes with some challenges, it helps me notice small details and pick up on subtleties that go unnoticed by others. This helps me not only learn quickly, but deeply. In my journey to autonomously study audio, this helped me greatly to create and understand audio on a deeper level. I’m still learning the ins and outs of audio production, and I am still training my ear, but I already get feedback that my sound effects sound good most of the time.
